March 2, 9am - 12pm: Growing Conditions in the INW New to the Spokane area? New to gardening? Introduction to INW Climate/Precipitation/Sunlight; What Plants Need; Reading a Seed Packet; and Soil Basics

March 2, 12:30-3:30pm: Beginning Vegetable Gardening  Home gardeners, learn how to grow a wide variety of vegetables in the Spokane area. Planting Calendar; Cool vs. Warm season crops; Seeds or transplants; and how to exam plants BEFORE you buy.

March 9, 9am - 12pm: Backyard Fruit Trees Are you interested in growing fruit trees in your backyard? Master Gardeners have answers to most of your fruit tree questions from necessary growing conditions, fertilizing, watering, pruning, pest management and harvesting.  

March 9, 12:30-3:30pm: Growing Small Fruit Small fruits and berries can be easy to grow if you know the best cultural practices.  Learn about special needs for these plants, how to prune, fertilize, water and manage pests.

April 13, 9am - 12pm: Insects in the Garden Mostly good, sometimes bad, and often questionable-looking. Learn the important roles insects have in your home garden and how to identify them with basic insect anatomy.

April 13, 12:30-3:30pm: Pollinator Education Pollinators are more than just honey bees. Learn about the these beneficial creatures; how to create habitats for them; and their importance in our gardens.
